Then I was taken back to check in desk and after a lot of confused looks and tapping on keyboard I was issued with a boarding pass that now showed my BAEC with Emerald and group number changed from 7 to 1. My original boarding pass only showed my BAEC number.
I then took QR flights and had no issue.
Then an MH flight and the same issue happened. They had to remove my BAEC number and add it back before my Emerald status was recognised.
My flights are booked through our corporate travel agent as always. MH agent suggested it may be because the flight booking has my middle name and my BAEC account doesn't.
Has anyone had this problem before? Should I simply add my middle name to me BAEC account?
Any advice will be appreciated.
I had the same issue which occurred completely out of the blue. Customer services told me that the APIS information on my account did not match the information on my EC account and so they changed that detail to include my middle name which solved the issue. Sadly, my EC card and all correspondence now refers to me as First Name, Second Name which looks ridiculous but it solved the problem.
