So yes, it seems this will impact at least TATL flights.

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience. We look forward to welcoming you on board soon.
This sounds like only special meals are impacted; they're often made in separate kitchens.

OTOH, one could expect D1 meals that are different from the D1 menu. It's interesting that nothing is said about the fate of pre-ordered D1 meals.

I'm speculating, but DL's plan could be to use the other catering company at DTW for longhaul flights, which of course should have priority. OTON, if any TATL/TPAC aircraft exDTW are routed to fly a domestic segment from another DL hub to DTW, the exDTW longhaul segment could, in most cases, be catered at the other hub. Of course, this would be a problem if there's a meal on the flight from the other hub to DTW since TATL/TPAC meals would be expected to require all of the galley space. adding packaged snacks and beverages at DTW should be easy, even if DO&CO normally deliver them to flights with their meals.

Does anyone know what health department rules would generally say about whether a contaminated facility can continue to provide beverages in sealed containers or packaged snacks? Would a shutdown mean that the facility is totally out of business until the situation is resolved? I'm guessing that DL is still getting snacks and beverages from the same outfit, delivered to aircraft as usual.
