It's just a little bit messy sometimes as the system does not always seem to recognize it correctly on its own.
Sometimes agents know how to handle it, correct the details and the system will automatically come to the conclusion that you get one more bag for free.
I've also not yet had much luck on their check-in kiosks with that so far.
If you'd need to get them to tick the "Waive" box, it can sometimes be a little bit of a ... erm ... conversation that's needed.
