Not an ideal situation!
The flight was suppose to be operated by G-XLEB which has been undergoing routine maintenance since Oct 8th at LHR, so I am guessing something has popped up which has delayed its re-entry to service. That, coupled with G-XLEC being stuck in JNB since Sunday morning, we are back to the usual situation of BA trying to operate 9 x A380's flights with 9 planes, so there is no slack in the system when things go wrong! (they'd already switched the BOS service to a B77W plane these past few days)

G-XLEA/F/H/K - all of these planes have left LHR on their proposed schedules
G-XLED is servicing IAD this afternoon, so am surprised that wasn't potentially sacrificed, although might be a bit late to cancel it now!
G-XLEE is in SIN coming back tonight
G-XLEG is undergoing routine maintenance at LHR (it should have just swapped with G-XLEB in the LHR hanger)
G-XLEJ is in JNB coming back tonight
G-XLEL is heading to JNB tonight, and with an A380 of people already stuck from Sunday evening, BA can't afford to cancel another JNB service.
