I’ve said it before, but with Korean Air selling five of their Boeing 747-8s to the US military, I wonder if anyone at Lufthansa is considering making a serious play for the remaining three.
They’re still young and would provide an instant boost in capacity while avoiding the introduction of another sub fleet.
This has been my dream ever since the Korean air news broke.
Maybe see if Air China wants to drop their six as well (I think the seventh is used as a VIP plane).
Anyway, I don't mind living in this world where the LH 747-400 will probably be around until 2040. (that won't happen, but honestly at this point who knows when they will actually go)
