when your Deutsche Bahn train was late, did you need to book new train tickets or was your 49,90 ticket package still ok to use for your train journey? I had a similar train delay situation around 2003 and at the connecting hbf, a platform conductor looked at my 2 tickets and arranged a new ticket for my destination to Dortmund. After arrival my friend said that normally the passenger must buy a new ticket if there is any delay causing me to miss my connection - although I’m sure that I had the cheap ticket and not a full fare ticket.

I felt the same on intra-China flights in Y in 2001. Great food and a pleasant surprise for such a short flight.
