Thai-Kiwi Hadn't realised that - yes both kids have the EAPDUs lodged although obviously no word as yet. Probably unlikely given it's January and so fairly busy. But you never know unless you try... I suspect the AKL PVG flights might be more likely than IAH AKL but we will see.

If you do change your ff# whilst in transit at PVG to accrue miles to respective QF accounts for PVG-LHR & LHR-IAH, then make sure your AirNZ ff# correctly shows on boarding passes for the IAH-AKL-DUD sectors. Changing ff#s between programs en route sometimes results in the change propagating to all remaining unflown, sectors. You might be able to change prior to departure but Ihave found this hit and miss.

Always check the boarding pass has what you want before leaving the counter/kiosk….

Presumably the Mrs & kids are on a separate ticket given they are in Y? If so, then their EAPDUs will be considered at the status level of Mrs (who is EP). Nothing is supposed to be considered until 7 days prior, but strange things have happened. RU and EAPDU apparently look the same (and are treated equally) to the internal system that processes them.

Finally, if you are on 2 (or more) separate bookings, then confirm with AirNZ (yes, a call) that they have been electronically connected through TCP (To Connect Party). This really is just an internal note in each booking that ‘points’ to the other bookings. Won’t assist with upgrade priority, but you’d all be handled together in case of a disrupted journey.
