They only saved the most historic portion, the small front wing facing Wenceslas Square. That portion was gutted and renovated. It will contain the historic public rooms and probably a few guest rooms or suites facing the square.
Behind that tiny portion, they demolished the entire rest of the hotel, which was just a huge anonymous wing stretching the depth of the block, with a bunch of tiny hotel rooms that had been renovated many times. I visited it years ago, that wing won't be missed.
In place of that old wing, they built a brand new hotel:
