Sorry, to clarify I was talking in the context of flights between LON and DOH rather than further afield. At least for these flights you can shift to a QR flight as long as there is any space in the same cabin.
I believe I’m in this scenario.
My DOH-LHR flight booked via Avios was cancelled and BA are telling me that QR need to have miles availability for them to move me to a QR flight.
