*** Advice kindly sought • expiring SQ miles (end of October) ***
Firstly, many thanks for reading this -- I do greatly appreciate it.
Please excuse what will seem to many to be a very basic question, but I am not very clear about Singapore Airlines' policy towards expiring SQ miles.
I have just over 550K SQ miles expiring at the end of this month (Oct '24)and I have already extended them once (and can no longer do so again). I had planned to use these miles for a one-way SQ F redemption for my wife and I, but life has been uncertain recently due to her work industry. So, my question really is:
If I chose to book a miles redemption (if available) now, i.e. before Oct 31st, for a flight date anywhere from 9 to 12 months in the future, and if, for whatever reason, I then subsquently needed to change this redemption flight's date - so long as there was availability - to another date, would I be able to do this? Or... would I actually not be able to do this and instead any flight date change would actually result in the complete forfeiture of my SQ miles (due to their expiry date)?
If anyone had any advice about this situation, I would be incredibly grateful to hear it.
All the best and many thanks again for taking time out to read this post.
