Apologies if there’s a thread somewhere, but I couldn’t find it…

Yesterday I flew EDI-LHR-MAD, with all flights being on time and 75 minutes in LHR. I arrived in MAD and lo and behold, my bag didn’t make it. My AirTag shows it is still in LHR T5.

I filed a PIR with IB in the baggage claim area of T4 at MAD. The lady who assisted me assured me the bag would be delivered at MAD today and I could collect it before I make my next flight to Mexico at around 6pm. She also said I would be kept informed by email and text. Of course no notifications have come through.

I checked the PIR on ba.com, where it reads that they are still attempting to locate my baggage. I highly doubt the bag will be found and delivered in time.

What do you recommend I do other than wait? The PIR from IB is all that I have. Should I raise another one with BA? What’s the best course of action?

Most of my important stuff is in my carry-on so I’m relatively at ease, but I did want to buy some tequila and mezcal while in Mexico….
