Yes. Bear in mind if your flight is cancelled you can move to any Qr service from Lhr/lgw, and you don’t have to accept the first one offered. The disruption tool may allow you to change to another qr flight, but if not you can call to do it.
As another data point, I was on a miles booking and was told that moving to QR wasn't possible unless they had miles availability, so had to go with the only remaining BA flight (the app didn't offer my QR either, whereas it did offer it to my friend on a cash ticket). I wasn't too fussed in this case so didn't bother to argue but seems a bit odd in disruption.
