Any way to squeeze benefits to 2 Amex Premium Cards?
I have had a personal Amex Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card for years. It got pricier last year (or maybe it was the year before), but between the dining credits, and the FNA, I just about make my money back on it. The premium benefits are a nice "icing on the cake" and adding those benefits in, along with not having to pay $10 for a snack at the airport, I easily make my money back on it.
My question is this: I am a partner in a small business and we have decided to go with The Business Platinum Card. I don't see the value in it for me, but my business partner really wants a premium travel card so for $695 I was willing to defer to him. Is there anyway to squeeze benefits out of my duplicate benefits? Examples I see:
1. Global Lounge Collection - Based on what I'm reading, this is just Priority Pass plus Centurion access. Since I already have PP, can I transfer my old PP from Marriott to my SO or parent or something? Or will I just end up having 2 in my name, one with Centurion Lounge access and one without?
2. Global Entry/TSA PreCheck - Looks like as long as I charge the fee to the business card, I can pay for whomever's precheck/GE I want? (I already have GE through Marriott AmEx)
3. Marriott Gold Elite Status - I already have platinum, can I give this to someone else?
4. Hilton Honors Gold Status - I already have another card that gives me this, can I gift this to someone else?
At the end of the day, as long as my partner is getting $700+ of benefits from the card, I guess I don't care how much I get. That amount is rounding error for the business. I'm just trying to figure out if there is anything in it for me!
Cheers!
