The throttling of searches is really getting out of hand. It would be great if the app/website just worked. It used to be stable, fast, and easy to use. Today it's mostly a PITA.
I don't think I've ever run into that issue on the app. But the base functionality is so limiting, I can't say I've done alot of searches in it.
I think it's not just simple throttling because I can't determine any pattern. Maybe they added "AI" to the mix.

I think UA is beating Moore's law if their aim is to double loss of functionality every 2yrs.
