I flew from Newark to Athens RT in Economy and upgraded to a twin seat both ways for $65 each way. On the 4:30 pm flight back from Athens, the entertainment system was completely broken and had been for some time. It was overheating to the point it could cause a fire, and the remote was stuck in the console and could not be removed. I was planning to watch 6 hours of movies, and the cabin stewards could not get it to operate at all. I've asked to get my $65 back, but realize I don't qualify. To add insult to injury, it took over an hour to get my luggage (I realize that isn't Emirates's fault.) Do I have any chance at all of getting my money back? I have no status at all. I did pay for one piece of luggage each way. Thanks!
