I agree, in this instance when everybody will pile on BA for lack of forward planning etc. I think throwing RR under the bus is actually fair. They charge a fortune - it has been heavily discussed on these boards the lack of an A350 follow up order is because RR's CEO has put up the price on the engine 'power-by-hour' packages, yet the engines have to be serviced more regularly then expected - and the Trent issue on the B787 fleet is impacting not just BA, but all B787 RR operators and RR just push out media stories about how they are focusing on improving the on-wing performance of the engine and the supply chain is to blame. If RR were serious, they'd be cutting prices and doing whatever they can to get things back on track, but there seems to be very little demonstration of this!

G-ZBKO has been parked at LHR since June 25th and G-ZBJE at CWL since July 10th awaiting engine replacements - yet RR (the manufacturer of these engines) can't deliver!
I am fully with BA's PR department throwing RR under the bus for a change!
