Many thanks
Hi badmansam
Welcome to FT and the BA forum, we hope you find information on here useful and would encourage you stick around and post about your experiences.
In relation to you BA99 situation, this very much will be claimable. It appears your plane to YYZ was 'borrowed' at the last minute to service the LHR-PHL route yesterday (albeit very delayed). The LHR-PHL route was cancelled last minute on Wednesday (9th) due to a plane having a technical issue and I am guessing BA Ops didn't want to have to cancel the flight for the 2nd day in a row (possibly due to another tech issue, I can't see which plane was originally due to service that route), so they decided to inconvenience the YYZ passengers to try and get the PHL service back on track.

Not ideal, but hopefully you've had a comfortable journey and £500+ each into your bank accounts will help ease the slightly indirect routing!
