The top tier Hibiki is a 40 year serialized release. That's well beyond the prices we're discussing, but if I was buying on the secondary market I'd personally take the 21 year Hibiki over this.

"Balancing out" rare and expensive spirits with cheap and plentiful fillers is more of a bean counter goal than master blender move. Blending Jim Beam into a "world whisky" to sell it as something desirable rather than consumable turpentine may be a masterstroke of commercial marketing, but it's about as far from legendary whisky making as you can get. That is the version of Suntory that is making this "super exclusive but too immature to publish a minimum age and high volume enough for airline sales" product that seems to owe much of its perceived value from artificial scarcity.
