While I like off topic as much as others - I wrote "while I would agree that the film was not suitable for everyone on board ", so I am not sure why some people here are making an argument where everyone is in agreement (why?). It was not suitable for a whole plane, it is rated MA15+ in the Qantas system. We all agree on that.
The point being, it was not as some in the media have hyped it as being some R rated sexual romp, from the description on board that the crew would have access to, it is an award winning 5/5 rated film about a taxi ride between JFK and midtown that discusses life and relationships between two very good actors.
An unfortunate mistake by the crew to offer to show it, and an honest mistake that has been blown out of proportion. IMHO.
I hope the people enjoy the QF lounge. This sort of reaction is a key reason why in Australia, we cannot be trsuted with nice things. As the reaction inside QF will now most like be to risk avoid and have the film further cut or removed for content.
