Thinking of getting the Infinite credit card (and have been approved for it) with a 4000 bonus PQD offer. I'm already 1K. I already have a United Club membership (which I have never used).

I have about $300 worth of the membership left when prorated, but I just spoke with United Mileage Plus and was informed that the prorated refund goes to the card that the membership was purchased on. I no longer have access to the card I used to purchase the membership (former employer's corporate card) and I was hoping to offset the annual fee of this card with that refund (therefore the prorated refund going back to that card is not useful). Mileage Plus said it's automatic and they can't control which card it goes to. Is that correct or is it HUCA? Any other suggestions?

I actually wanted the Quest card for the flight credit, but I was not being offered the 2000 PQD bonus that others were being offered. I need the PQD because i'm about 3000ish PQD short of qualifying for 1K.
