Really? It wasn’t the most vibrant part of town when I was there recently—then again, anything north of the station up to Eigelstein-Torburg pretty much fit that description IME—but nothing about it felt unsafe. Plus it’s mere steps to the excellent Schreckenskammer beer hall, and those steps take you past a quaint church with an awesome bone reliquary. Something for everyone!
