To the extent that this benefit is supposed to be a monetary credit (versus some type of frequent flyer perk) it seems like a good subject for a CFPB complaint, if someone has the time and energy to pursue. Irrespective of whose “fault” the peoblem is it’s Citi that promised something in their marketing materials, so Citi is on the hook to make it right imho.
