Interesting article.

Residence Inn - I would argue the best as being the Wilson in Big Sky, certainly beats the one in CA they listed!
Moxy - have a reservation in 10 days for the East Village! It does look pretty good, but also, just a one night stay. We can't stay much more than that in the tiny rooms.
Sheraton - they all just seem so dated. (IAH cough cough!)
Marriott - agree with others, #18?? But, the top one being Houston Marquis I can get onboard with! Love it!
Le Meridien - oh lord. I'm sorry, but Nice is not the best. Uggg. Stayed just a few months ago for the (umpteenth time) and the only thing I feel the hotel has going for it is the location. The pool/rooftop suck. Breakfast was good though.
