I wonder that with the new selection of gold or plat on AA as milestone awards, that this means status challenges for explorist and globalists are going away. I was plat pro for four months but used it to book a good amount of MCE seats for when the status expired.

I’m at 70 nights right now, most of it via credit card spend. I was thinking of going for 100 nights in 2025 for the 1-7 certificate and would probably pick the AA plat over 10,000 points at 100 nights as I can get over $200 of MCE seats in over a year, but would definitely pick the 10,000 points over AA gold at 70/80/90 nights.
