Recent TravelPro Warranty experience

Bought 2 Travelpro Anthem soft side spinners for Far East trip this September. The stitching on the front of one of them came apart after the first flight.

On return contacted TravelPro EU warranty claim for repair via email using the address on the label attached to thee bag, verified with their website - [email protected]

The customer service responses in order
1. First response received after sending photos of the parted stitching and proof of purchase. "There is no warranty on this product unless purchased direct from us. Return to retailer."
2. I pointed out under UK consumer law retailer responsible for first 30 days, after that manufacturer warranty terms apply. Sent photo of warranty label attached to bag clearly stating 2 years.
3. Travelpro replied that stitching is not covered under the warranty.
4. Sent them a link to their website where Travelpro boast about the endurance tests done on stitching and a video showing this test. Pointed out therefore this was a product claim and covered by warranty.
5. Travelpro replied stating the front stitching was cosmetic and did not affect the bag's intended purpose. Claim denied.

Lesson. Travelpro were not interested in their warranty and tried to deny it existed at every step.

I also own excellent Briggs and Riley and Brics luggage which has never required repair despite many years of service.

I won't be buying Travelpro again.

Hope this helps if you're having issues with Travelpro or deciding whether to purchase.
