Agreed, that was a concern too from the OP, though for me personally I never thought that safety was an issue with any reputable carrier, budget or not.

Yes, if you factor in the *G benefits then it makes sense to try to to fly SQ or TG in order to make full use of them. The lounge is the big one here (especially since you've mentioned it's a proper lounge and not just any *G one) so on what is a relatively short flight I'd be prepared to fly in a less comfy seat (SQ econ) compared to Scoot Biz. And if you need the 20kg luggage then *G has got you covered.

I haven't flown through BKK in ages but I assume the Fast Track can be very helpful during busy times?
