The booking was for two persons and my daughter as a lap child.
when i cancelled the ticket, i got the 22,5k miles back into my account. the 22,5K of the ticket of my partner was not back into my account (she is the one with the lap child).
I contacted the help via the online chat
initially they said all 45K was refunded, but i insisted only 22,5 k was refunded
eventually, they put me through to the mileage plus center, and that person refunded the 22,5K
so i got all miles back
however, today I noticed that only the fees of my ticket (21,17 €) and my partner's ticket (21,17€) is refunded to my credit card.
the fee for the lap child (19 €) is not refunded
so i opened a refund request for the 19€ now.
Guess it is not so straight forward to cancel an award ticket that involves a lap child.
Will update the thread once i hear back on the refund request of the 19€
