Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

We had back to back points reservations: 2 nights in 1 Queen Standard, 1 night in 1 King Standard

Received 1 King Standard. They initially gave us what they said was a 1 King Premium, but when we went up it was actually a 1 Queen Premium, we declined as we prefer king beds.

How are the rooms?

The 1 King Standard room was small, the smallest we've had in recent memory. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was small but decent.

The 1 Queen Premium we briefly saw had much more floor space but felt awkward. The bathroom looked like it had not been renovated. The 'closet' was an open-frame clothes rack.


How is the exec. lounge?

What was good and what was bad?

Good:
- Breakfast (proactively offered as Diamond benefit)
- Good bed
- Friendly staff
- Proximity to the train station

Bad:
- Small room
- The hotel was fully booked, so I couldn't get upgraded to 1 King Premium
- Personally, we did not love the immediate surrounding area of the hotel.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

~55k points/night, not bad compared to cash rates.

Not sure if we would return, the hotel was fine, but it felt a bit far from the main sights of Florence.
