Just wanted to check about a denial of entry, as I have no experience with AS lounges and am unsure if the rules as stated today are correct or not. International itinerary in J with the international segment into SFO operated by JL and the connecting domestic segment from SFO operated by AA. OW Sapphire. Ticket issued by AA, though I doubt that matters. First, he told me that access is only granted when the international segment is the next one, not after having arrived on an international segment and connecting to domestic. And then he also told me I was ineligible because my domestic segment is less than 2000 miles. I'm an AA elite, and AA definitely doesn't have either of those rules, so it sounds like BS to me. But maybe I'm wrong. I ended up in the Admirals Club instead—no big deal. I was just curious to check out the AS lounge because it's new.
