Unless you have specific knowledge, I don't think that's a reasonable assumption.
Certainly not impossible, but there's no evidence.
They did say publicly a while back that they were planning to revamp the whole auth system, and I think (but I could definitely be misremembering) the plan was "summer 2024" (but I don't know if that was start or end, and as someone who works in software I never trust a date given more than 6 months ahead of time).
