Welcome to Orlando! If you're pressed for time, try Lake Eola in downtown. Closest beach to Orlando take the Beeline (SR528) tollway to the east coast beaches. Could even go to Space center from there. Or try a dinner show theatre (pricey, but many to choose from: Cirque du Soleil (no food), Medieval Times, Arabian Nights, Dolly, etc)
or go shopping at the Mall of Millenia/Florida Mall/Outlet centers, or try nightlife (Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island/Planet Hollywood, Universal CityWalk, Church Street Station, etc) or visit the "little" attractions on I-drive and elsewhere (gatorland, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It or not, magic show, skull kingdom, a million water parks (Disney has a bunch, or Water World, Water Mania, etc), there's even a free-fall down a tall chute attraction!)
Or recently, as stated in the Orlando Sentinel newspaper, the businessmen want the thick, expensive steaks and streams of topless women at Rachel's South. Give 'em what they want vs. moral conservatives battle sure to come!
have fun whatever you choose!
