For now the seat map in my reservation shows a B77W with 48J seats, out of which 24 are no longer available.
I've noticed that in the last month (maybe even also before that) the actual A/C is changed last minute to a COI version with 14J.

Does anybody know at how many sold J seats AF decides to go with a plane with less J seats than actually sold, and then to downgrade some of the J passengers?

Has it happened to anyone here, and what was the compensation offered?
There are 2 flights a day on many days to BKK. When are you flying? If it is a 2-flight day, then AF would offer you to switch flight.

Then before downgrading you, AF would most likely offer to reroute you through AMS.

Another possibility, if you are flexible, is to fly one day earlier (or later).
