I have a rescued shelter animal. Not even the most plush kennel is better than its comfy plush little carrier combined with a nice hotel bed. YMMV.
I have 2 CH retrievers that I aren't allowed on the furniture, much less our beds.
And for the record they've flown cross country as freight and are none the worse for wear.
