The thing is, this LMU plus the one way ticket price I had already made, was 100% more expensive then if I had just purchased a Business class ticket initially. That also would have included the higher Aeroplan earning rate and Signature Suite access in YYZ ( I think). That said if you're always a J flyer, I can see why you would still jump at it at this rate. As we can tell I am not always a J flyer, (ha!) paying almost $3,000 for a stripped down J class experience is a price too high for me.
Your rational makes total sense to me...to bad it doesn't seem to at AC!
