The blurb I linked says:

"Add your Known Traveler Number during check in
To use your TSA PreCheck benefits, add your KTN/PASS ID:

  • When checking in online via aerlingus.com
  • When checking in at the airport
  • Or, by contacting Aer Lingus helpdesk before checking in"
So Helpdesk or wait - hopefully they change this!
