Read a lot of horror stories about this airport. But given the ferry is 5+ hours I guess makes sense to put up with? But maybe a ferry would be a nice way back to ATH and then plan a different return from there.

we will be leaving out of JTR middle of the month of Oct(little over a week from now). BA to Gatwick. We are in club Europe and OWE and gold with BA. Most the stories I read about the airport were in summer. Are we looking at a better experience, less crowds?
