WillTravelforFood answered your question about JL but I just wanted to note that maybe not all partners follow this rule. Check for each partner you fly.

I flew Cathay pre-covid and got a measly 100ish miles from HKG-TPE. I was going to use Cathay as an example but it looks like the partner page has updated with the verbiage for 500 minimum mile for Cathay. Maybe they've updated it to all after all, but it's never bad to just check!
