The problem with this carrier though is that when a flight is delayed there is little to no contingency to get the passengers to their destination in a relative timely matter. The current OAG ranking shows XP as #2, but also states there were no cancellations. While that might be technically true like in our case, the 30+ hour delay was like a cancellation. Air Canada ranked last in on time performance. But at least if an AC aircraft goes mechanical, there's a decent chance of getting on a later flight, possibly connecting in a hub, in the same day and they have the option of interlining pax to other carriers. Neither of those are possible with Avelo.
