The layover in Philadelphia is 56 minutes - I am not in a rush to get back, so it is not a big deal time wise if I am delayed but don't want to have to buy a new ticket or anything. I have seen posts about bags being checked through (I won't have any) but am not sure about rebooking. Thanks!
56 min is a very tight connection. It is only safe if DEN-PHL and PHL-IAD use the same aircraft. You can monitor the flight status closely on the day of travel. You can try the same-day change via another connection airport (IAD, ORD, IAH, SFO) to get to PHL earlier. If there are later PHL-IAD-PIT flights on the same day, you can try the same-day change of the second set of flights. I assume that you booked non-basic-economy tickets because BE tickets do not earn PQFs. Good luck.
