Swiss App - “Booking Not Found” (check-in)
Didn’t see another post about this and am trying not to worry.
I am departing tomorrow on a Swiss flight from ZRH, purchased through United as part of a multi-leg itinerary, to another country (not-US).
I have the United locator number, the Swiss record locator number, as well as my ticket number (016…). The flight shows up in my Swiss app online and is prompting me to check-in (I am within the 23 hour window) but when I click “check in now” (red button) I get a “Booking not found” message. I have also tried searching both the Swiss locator number and the ticket number on Swiss’ website to do check in without logging in.
I have tried the chat (only the automated chat available right now) as well as calling the customer service line. I successfully reached the US customer service line and was told (the agent did not seem to have high English fluency) “check in online” repeatedly. When I tried to explain my situation and that I could not do that I was told “then check in at the airport.”
Has anyone else encountered this? I am most concerned that there is something wrong with my booking and I won’t be able to fly tomorrow evening. I need to be on this flight to land at my destination for a work commitment, and in the event that the ticket has an issue, need to know early enough in the day to try to arrange a different itinerary/routing (which would only be possible by leaving earlier in the day via another place). I am not currently in ZRH and would need to re-arrange my travel in the next few hours to get to ZRH or another airport in the region if I need to go to Plan B.
Should I be worried!? Has anyone else encountered this problem?
