I prepaid for a Tesla Model 3 (E7) a few months ago at Hertz LGA, and when I showed up today, they said they don’t have the car. In fact, the entire lot is nearly empty.

Which is a shame cos I wanted to specifically use the Tesla for its autopilot feature for a long six-hour drive.

They found a different gas car for me, but honestly, once I’ve tried a Tesla, going back to gas cars just doesn’t cut it.

I know they’ve started to substantially reduce their Hertz/EV fleet, but would I have any recourse here? Especially when I prepaid for the exact car I wanted.

I’m at the President’s Circle level but not sure that matters.
