I've switched my TD Aeroplan VI to the VIP in order to get a 2nd companion fare in my own name (already have the Amex Reserve).

TD doesn't provide a spend tracker on statements like Amex does. I am curious if anyone knows whether I will be awarded the voucher 6-8 weeks after the anniversary date on which I opened the card originally, or the anniversary date on which I switched the card from VI to VIP. Either way I'll have 25k of spending on the card, it's mostly just for trip planning purposes that I'd like to know when I'll get the pass.

The guy on the phone who switched my card didn't even know what the companion pass was, so I'm not going to trust anyone there to have any idea how it works. Maybe someone here has done the same thing and can figure out whether their pass is being awarded based on the original card date or switched card date.
