I transferred from Chase and while entering my EK account number to link it, I was on a page on EK's site that showed it as 'EK 123 456 789'. Not sure why it didn't occur to me to also enter the 'EK', I only entered the number portion.
Then I noticed in a different section of the site, the account number appears as '00 123 456 789'.
Either way I must have entered the number wrong (I assume I'm missing the leading zeros). I called Chase and they said I just have to wait for either the account number to be resolved on EK's end, or for the points to bounce back.
Looks like it was just a case of the transfer actually taking the multiple business days that the fine print always says it could.
The account number is formatted at least 3 different ways on different parts of EK's site, not confusing at all:
- 123 456 789
- 00 123 456 789
- EK 123 456 789
