At the moment we have a 1 hour 25 minute connection, but looking at recent flights, the mid-morning flight KL1032 from Manchester is very often significantly delayed.

I'm a worrier, so I've been checking out what might happen if we miss the connection, and it looks like from Amsterdam they could rebook us via Seoul or Paris to HND. There's also a Qatar flight among others but I'm guessing they're more likely to send us on either another KLM flight or Air France, and I'm assuming there's a better chance of actually getting a premium economy seat on a rebooked flight if it's KLM/AF? Would really rather not do a 14 hour flight in an economy middle seat when I've meticulously planned this trip to avoid exactly that!

There's an AF flight MAN-CDG which departs 35 min after the KLM to AMS, from the same terminal. If we're still sat in Manchester when the KLM Tokyo flight is boarding in Amsterdam, are they likely to reroute us straight to Paris? Or would we always have to go to Amsterdam to be rerouted from there?
I've been in such situations a few times, but always as Plat/Ulti and in those situations. Typically a call to them will get me rebooked to the later departure, if there's seats without an issue.

Without status, you'll probably be best served by heading to AMS and then being rebooked there. It's possible they might put you on AF, KE, or even MU or CZ to get you there.
