As with AU, need to clear immigration, customs & bio secuity with all your checked and carry on bags at first port on entry (AKL)
At the AKL international terminal land side you can bag drop~check in at an Air NZ area/kiosks. Then free inter terminal bus or walk the line (12 minutes) over to domestic. Time of 1:50hr OK, unless long delay. Not as bad as SYD.
