Two things to note: 1) There are two train stations at the Frankfurt airport, both of which are clearly marked. You need to go to the one for long-distance travel (Fernbahnhof). 2) Your train to Stuttgart will likely originate north of Frankfurt and continue beyond Stuttgart. Only certain cars are reserved your type of air-rail ticket, so be careful to board the train at the right place on the platform.
On an award ticket years ago this must have been LH TATL since at that time UA was not combinable with airrail

I have SFO-FRA-ZWS in December booked for three of us, and it's unclear what we really need to do on arrival. It's a 2 hour connection - my assumption is that the bags will be checked through, and will therefore show up at the AirRail terminal, we just collect then there and find and board our train. Sounds straightforward enough - does anyone have experience doing this with UA though?
I am flying 12/17 ... will report, if nobody else reports it earlier

I’m hoping to go back in November same route and will report my experience.
