They were right, though. If there’s a lounge that serves breakfast, that’s where Globs get breakfast per the T&Cs, not just on awards but also paid stays. Offering restaurant breakfast is not required in this case, but purely based on the hotel’s generosity. This rule has been forgotten by many after Covid, because lots of hotels switched to restaurant breakfast (instead of club lounge) and people came to expect it.
