That still counts as OPM.
If you are flying for business reasons on pre-tax funds that's OPM even if it's your business or you're a sole trader.
I think it’s a middle ground. It’s my own company so the money saved still benefits me. I’ll still pick the cheapest flight and hotel that makes sense for me. There’s more benefits to it because it’s tax deductible but I still will be more price conscious than real OPM that is paid by an employer.
