I never use the airport WiFi in Doha, I agree it is totally useless. I instal the Airalo 1 GB before I go and in this way I even have a reliable connection from the moment I land so the tedious 15 min to get to a bus become less of a chore. I can also use internet until we take off, not just board. IMHO for the few euros it costs, it is worth of every cent.
