Yup, that was my experience at the Solo Alila, too. My upgraded tower suite was ALMOST as nice as my suite at the Park Hyatt Jakarta! And they put out a somewhat better spread in the lounge than the Park Hyatt (albeit without fancy cocktails). Breakfast and the pool were good, too (but not as good as Jakarta). Another 5,000 point steal.
Alila Solo is great, but with rates around $50 pre-Covid and around $75 now, it's a fairly lousy redemption unless you have more points than you could ever spend.
